Welsh faces and people who are energy citizens
Energy citizens of Wales

A huge thanks to all those who have participated already in our “You First” outreach and survey.

We are delighted and very grateful to report to date:

·       More than 12,700 visits to the survey site,

·       Very nearly 2,350 participants took the survey,

·       Providing answers to more than 11,100 questions, and

·       Making the effort to give us more than 2,600 pieces of written feedback.

Wow!

Time is running out for you to participate. The survey is closing at 9am on Monday 23rd September. We’d really like your input, so please just go to the survey – right now! Be part of this impressive collective effort.

It will only take you about 5-7 minutes. (Or, make a cuppa, and spend a little longer on the open questions if you have lots to say). This could be a first step to telling us what you think about how our company should deliver. Trydan, remember is a company fully owned by the Welsh Government, operating to maximise the benefits to the people of Wales, of utility scale renewable energy generated here, in Wales. So, yes really, you can help shape what we do.

Did you notice, the Trydan team are greeting you as Energy Citizens?

If you are reading this, you are clearly interested in energy. You aren’t just an energy consumer. (Can anyone really afford to be a carefree energy consumer these days?). Who doesn’t want:

·       Long-term, lasting reductions in the cost of energy?

·       To use, value and conserve the energy generated today and tomorrow, in such a way that we all benefit more, from more affordable energy?

·       The supply and price of the energy we rely on to be secure, and safe from disruptive politics and events happening far away?

·       Wales, the UK and the world, to make a fair transition to a more nature- and climate-friendly energy system? One that energy citizens today have a real stake in, one that gives young people something future-facing and positive to look forward to being in charge of. And an energy system that future generations will appreciate building on.

If any of the above sounds like something you’re answering “yes” to, you are becoming an energy citizen!

If you haven’t completed the survey, please do. Access it from our Community page. Please leave an e-mail address at the end of the survey so we can stay in contact. Or visit our website for more thoughts and opportunities coming soon for you to tell us about your views on what it means to be an energy citizen.

We’ll upload a report on “You first” results in a few weeks.

Thank-you!
